Masinde Muliro University SDA

Get to know us

The Masinde Muliro University Seventh-day Adventist Church (MMUSDA) is a vibrant spiritual community located within the Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) in Kakamega, Kenya. As a beacon of faith, fellowship, and service, MMUSDA serves students, staff, and the surrounding community, fostering spiritual growth, academic excellence, and holistic development.

The church traces its roots to the early 2000s when a group of Seventh-day Adventist students and staff at MMUST felt the need for a spiritual haven within the university. Through their dedication and the support of university administration, MMUSDA was officially recognized in 2007. Since then, the church has grown exponentially, becoming a cornerstone of spiritual life on campus

Our mission

The mission of MMUSDA is to nurture a Christ-centered community on campus, empowering students and faculty to live and share the Adventist message of hope and wholeness. Through worship, evangelism, discipleship, and service, MMUSDA seeks to inspire spiritual growth, integrate faith with learning, and prepare members for impactful service in the church, society, and the world to come.

Our Method

Guided by the Bible and the Holy Spirit, MMUSDA pursues its mission through Christ-like living, worship, evangelism, discipling, teaching, healing, and service. We believe that Christ’s method alone provides true success in reaching people.

We adopt this approach by mingling with others as those who desire their good, showing genuine sympathy, ministering to their needs, and building their trust. After gaining their confidence, we invite them to follow Christ, fostering a holistic and meaningful connection to faith and service.

Activities and Programs
